This song needed: Charlie's drums on both channels instead of only on the left.
It also needed: Bill's bass more centered. And finally, it especially needed: Keith's guitar a bit sharper, clearer. So that's why I made this one. Enjoy!
Oh, I forgot: the video itself needed some completion too (2.54 min. of images instead of only 2.25 min. and the final 30 seconds blank) and better synchronisation. Don't call me a perfectionist, I just like to get things done properly, and... Rolling Stones music. But I think you already noticed that; if not: read the previous line again.

Recorded on June 10 & 11, 1964. Released on January 15. 1965 on "The Rolling Stones no.2" and February 12, 1965 on the album "The Rolling Stones, Now!"

Rhythm guitar: Brian Jones. Vocal: Mick Jagger. Lead guitar: Keith Richards. Piano: Ian Stewart. Bass: Bill Wyman. Drums: Charlie Watts.

DOWN THE ROAD A PIECE
(Don Raye) *

Now if you wanna hear some boogie like I'm gonna play
It's just an old piano and a knockout bass
The drummer's man's a cat they call Charlie my boy
You know, remember that rubber-legged boy?
Mama cookin' chicken fried and bacon grease
Come on along boys it's just down the road apiece

Well there's a place you really get your kicks
It's open every night about twelve to six
Now if you wanna hear some boogie you can get your fill
And shove and sting like an old steam drill
Come on along you can lose your lead
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

Well there's a place you really get your kicks
It's open every night about twelve to six
Now if you wanna hear some boogie you can get your fill
And shove and sting like an old steam drill
Come on along you can lose your lead
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

* "Down the Road a Piece" was recorded in 1940 by the "Will Bradley Trio" (including the song's writer Don Raye). Three musicians were mentioned in the original lyrics. Later on, various artists changed the lyrics, among whom Chuck Berry. The Stones - among other artists - used Chuck Berry's lyrics, though the Stones changed the name (of drummer) Kicking McKoy into Charlie McKoy.
