ENG - On February 24, 1996 the unthinkable occurred: the Cuban government shot down two American planes flying in international airspace in search of Cubans fleeing their country on dilapidated rafts. This event led to the death of four American citizens, reopening old wounds between the United States and Cuba, and exposing a climate of political repression, treason and tragedy. The documentary recounts the deadly events of that day, using actual radar tracks and FBI radio intercepts.

PT - Em 24 de fevereiro de 1996 ocorreu o impensável: o governo cubano-americanos abateram dois aviões voando no espaço aéreo internacional, em busca de cubanos que fogem de seu país em jangadas. Este acontecimento levou à morte de quatro cidadãos americanos, reabre velhas feridas entre os Estados Unidos e Cuba, e expondo um clima de repressão política, traição e tragédia. O documentário relata os acontecimentos desse dia fatal, utilizando efetivo radar e trilhas do FBI interceptou via rádio.
