El Estado de Israel ha comenzado a atacar la franja de Gaza y ya esta dentro de su territorio.

Entrada de las tropas de la IDF en Gaza anoche

Se reportan 248 muertos y 1,500 heridos palestinos en las primeras horas luego del ataque terrestre israelí. A pesar de las advertencias hechas hace ya dos semanas por parte de Israel a los habitantes de la franja de Gaza para que abandonaran la zona en conflicto, las bajas suman ya una considerable cantidad dentro de la poblacin palestina.

Un soldado de la IDF también ha resultado muerto en los comienzos de la Operación Protective Edge.

On July 17, IDF forces identified approximately 13 terrorists attempting to infiltrate Israel through a terror tunnel constructed by Hamas. The tunnel led underground from the southern Gaza Strip towards the southern Israeli community of Sufa. IDF forces thwarted the terror attack, preventing the terrorists from attacking an Israeli kibbutz.
