The colossal freemasonic lodge building "The George Washington Masonic Memorial" is owned by the Freemasons and is located in Alexandria in Virginia, the United States.
The magnificent building is a sign of determination and success and its function is to serve as a meeting place for the Freemasons. However, first and foremost, it is a memorial to honour and perpetuate the memory, character and virtues of the first US president and freemason George Washington who best exemplifies what Freemasons are and ought to be.
The George Washington Masonic Memorial is build using exclusive materials, including unusual large quantities of marble, granite, bronze and gold. The colossal memorial is privately funded through contributions of freemasons. It is used seven days a week for freemasonic meetings.
