Feast of Kadosh
Today, (1/13/2017), coincidentally a Friday the 13th, Scottish Rite Masons are mandated by their Statutes to observe the Feast Day of the Order or Council of Kadosh.
It is a celebration of the founding of the first Council of Kadosh in 1797 and that of the formal recognition of the Knights Templar in 1128 (1129 in some records).
The Feast of Kadosh was never given the same attention as the Feast of the Paschal Lamb (Feast Day of the Chapter of Rose Croix) or the Feast of Tishri (Feast Day of the Lodge of Perfection).
However, it is undoubtedly one of the most intense and meaningful Templar commemorations in all of Freemasonry.
Take due notice, and govern yourselves accordingly!
